Yes. Somewhat of a nuisance, but it helps water-resistivity and eliminates manufacturing costs for snap-fits, which can break off and make the container useless. I suppose you can lose screws, too, but they are easier to replace. The label is a good way to remember what you have under there for spares so you aren't pulling the cover off before looking for a hardware store.

Clean setup, Randy!

Fuze block on R1200S

Yes this can be mounted under the tank area near the air box intake.

So if you mount it there, what do you have to do to get to the fuses?
Cheers

Pull the plastic on the right side and the air intake snorkel and pull the unit out. It's velcro'd in there. (Same place I put my FRK.)

I suspect there's room under the seat.

no blown fuses yet

Yes, it is a crappy location to get to ---- but it is out of the way there and away from weather. Probably gets some heat but seems OK so far. Also, I have yet to have to replace a fuse, so have not had to go in there because of the fuse Block.

This really got rid of all the bunch of wires I hated attacted to those litttle battery screws. It was too much and in the way.

Also no more accidental battery drains from sitting with radar unit or Autocom on.
Works great so far.

I have it installed in my GS under the seat in where the parody of a tool kit used to be.
It's great. I have connected to it the fog lights, gps, radar detector, video camera and the Starcom.
