i keep waiting for him to come to my town and blow the doors off my police car... but i'll reserve judgment on the guy until i meet him. Im just as abrasive as he is according to some folks i suspect.

So which town is it that I should avoid? Ralf doesn't ride that fast in populated areas... I can attest to that.

I think he releases his abrasiveness online so he can be harmless in real life.

This could be the worst case of trivial pursuit ever. Has Ralf left for the North Country yet? BTW do we have any 2 stroke outboard mechanices around? I need to figure out how to balance 4 carbs on a 140 hp Nissan and figure ou why I'm not getting sufficient cooling to reach higher RPM.

Bubba, you can balance the Carbs with a regular twinmax... what you do is balance 1 - 2... then 1 - 3 and then 1 - 4... a little more elaborate than with a 4-plex setup but works just as well.

Not sure that the lack of higher RPM is cooling related but you can test water pressure as well... did you check the impeller?

There are many a things that could be the culprit... did you clean the carbs already?... if not, start there...make sure that the gaskets are ALL very clean and right on the intake side. Also, definitely perform a compression test...

Make sure that the fuel pump delivers adequately...

I love two strokers... they are fairly easy to work on... would help you if I was closer to it.

if those engines have reed valve induction, you may have a broken reed petal in one of the inlets, its easy enough to check.

Kevin, that was funny... LOL

I'll leave next Thursday, Bubba... should me MUCH quieter around here for a while after that!

I am probably abrasive, and I do speak (or write) my mind... I just favor it that way instead of keeping it bottled up. Some don't like it, some like me because of me being that way.... many of the people who have met me in person have no problems with me. Some do or did but even that gets ironed out after a while. There are quite a few people here who know me personally and I'll leave it to them, to "judge" me if it is what floats their boat...

In the end, I just have different beliefs and/or view points... and I make them no secret. As I understand it, that's what your wonderful country is built on (or at least that's what it USED to be built on), Freedom of Speech, isn't it?

The very right to climb on a soap box ANYWHERE and at ANY TIME and express you thoughts, ideas, opinions and whatever else you want to express...

Of course, reality is much different and none of these things hold true anymore...

Very good suggestion... he never mentioned what brand it is, but it should be easy to confirm.

Freedom of Speech doesn't pertain to the internet dumbass. Read the Constitution again.

George, I HAVE read the constitution and it says NOTHING about the internet... nor does it say anything about dumb-asses (sorry to tell you that you have not been mentioned but you'll survive, I guess!).

So if you are trying to be funny, stop being clueless... at least it would be a good starting point... albeit just a drop on a hot rock, I guess.

I used to believe Ralf to be an alright guy, but he tends to seemingly have no social filter, putting his nose and attitude where it really isn't needed or wanted. Kind of like someone pisses in his cheerios every morning.

then there is the helpful side. offering practical and useful advice based on years of experience. Friends (and enemies) are byproducts of a BBS, being that most originally come here for technical help, and it soon is apparent who we would all tolerate in person.

I am no psycho therapist, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night: I'd guess bi-polar with narcissistic tendencies.

Glad I'm on the right coast.
