Sorry if this intro is in the wrong place.....
I am a refugee of another BMW forum that caters to mostly touring folks. Seems the mods there have one set of rules that apply to the chosen few and the rest of us have to follow another set of rules...so, needless to say, I thought it best to leave there. I own an R1200GSA, 2010....Previously I've had an R1200RT, a long list of Harleys, some Japanese sport bikes in the early days of my youth, and a Triumph or two that I never admit to owning. :-) I'm here because I am interested in the performance aspect of the Boxer engine, plus I occasionally machine my own parts when the mood hits me, so a good critique by the group is always good to have. Look forward to sharing anything I can, and learning what I can from my fellow enthusiasts. Scottly |

Welcome Scottly. We have so many OT-No R1100S/R1200S content we won't even notice when you talk GS. Besides many of us have one of various sizes.

Of course if you want the official Pelican belt buckle in sterling silver you have to own an S bike...

When faced with a decision between a GS and an S, there was no breaking the deadlock. So now I have one of each. I think that deserves a gold buckle.
Welcome to the Forum.

Hey not that long in the tooth myself but welcome just the same. Hope to share some ideas back and forth. It can get ugly. But most kiss and make up.
