Actually, I think that's a Lotus Europa.
The reason I know is there was a Datsun/Lotus dealer in the town I grew up in - being near driving permit time when that car came out, 1966, my friends and I would go to all the car dealerships and sit in the new cars. We were thrown out of the Lotus dealer more than once for sitting in the cars and shifting the trans - I remember being tossed out of the Chevy dealer too for the same thing (Camaro) as well as taking one of every brochure they had on hand.

Not only France but also a very nice region, the high alpes near the meditteranian sea (département alpes maritimes).
You can read it from the last two figures on the number plate "06".
Nice place to be and very nice for a motorbike vacation, too.

Renault Alpine berlinette

Ah - ever since I saw these on my Beach MC tours in the late 80's/early 90's (gawd, hard to believe it's been that long!) in the Alps I have seriously had a lust thing going!

Cars I have Owned

1st Renault Caravelle:

Got rid of the Renault for a red MGA like this one:

Joined the USAF and bought a new MGBGT:

Then bought a 1970 911S which I still have and looks like this today:

Sold the MGB GT and bought a 220s Sedan to tow the Porsche cross country:

Sold the 220s Sedan, moved to Germany and bought a 220 Coupe:

Sold the Coupe because we needed A/C in D.C. so we got a 520:

Took the 520 to Germany and bought a new 944 while there. My son now owns the 944. Will stop there because none of the rest would be considered classics. Wish I could have kept the MGA and the 220 Coupe. Thanks for the walk down memory lane!!
