Yep, and not out on a date either.
I'm seriously considering a japanese bike to destroy while on the freeways in LA... but I'm spoiled by my beemers.

I really think the weep hole mod on the transmission is a good idea. Could save the full clutch job.

Sadly it won't be this year, but hopefully the spring! Yes, another set of tires will be a must, especially if we ride with Gary, haha!

Any news? I was thinking, the Euro spec rear tailight should work, right? I'd assume the electrical harness is the same. The only difference visually I can tell is the European version of the taillight assembly does not have the side tabs for the DOT reflectors.

Sorry for such a delayed reply Sergio, but as Im sure you know (hope the new baby is doing well) life gets in the way.
I ended up getting a German PN from Sean(sp?) at BMW Atlanta for and we ordered that one in and voila! Only took 4 weeks plus me getting the time to get the bike back.

So it's missing the DOT reflector tabs? Nice!

DOT reflector tabs? If you look right under the light you will see a couple of small holes. The original had a reflector double sided taped on covering those up, which I chose not to add after replacement. Otherwise I think it is the same as the original. Now I must find a fun sticker/emblem to add in the dead space there.

I'm on my iPhone so I can't zoom in on the pic. The US tailpiece has side tabs for lateral (vertical) reflectors. The Euro one doesn't.

I probably should the way I ride, but really I'm hoping to find a used one first. It may be poor planning on my part but we'll see.
