New member of the stable

I couldn't resist... I just picked up an incredibly well taken care of 2007 K1200S. I've always loved the Tri-color and had to have it!!!

The biggest bonus is that I am finally rid of my Harley that hasn't been ridden since I bought my R1100S...

Tell us more of how it compares with the R! I'm lusting on a yellow K12, but I'm affraid it is not nimble at "low" speed (I don't like riding over 100-120mph, and I am most of the time under 70mph).

The K13 is much happier at low speed compared to the K12.

I got a new bike too! I told my wife it was for her and she fell for it. I had forgot how much fun a slow bike can be.

Very nice looking acquisition! I rode a yellow/black one at my local dealership many years ago and was impressed with the grunt. I love the intake snarling sound that engine makes when you roll on the throttle.

I would be in jail or dead if I owned one of those. It is just way to easy to go fast. Have fun and be sure to install a good quality radar detector.

I was lucky the the previous owner already had a radar detector installed and let it go with the bike. I took a 200 mile rider today and the only thing I want to change is the stock seat. I really need a Corbin or Sargent!!!!! That stock seat is really a piece of crap!!!!

The K12S is very different from my R11S... After the first long ride I can say that the R11S likes the tight, technical corners better than the K12S. However, the K12S is incredibly smooth at all speeds and does cover some real estate VERY quickly...

I love 'em both and am thrilled that I get to experience an R and K!!!!!!
