Geezer Pegs

I made these for my S to relieve leg pain on long rides. They're placed under the engine on the header pipe (it's strong enough) and work wonders when one of my thighs or shin aches from the sciatica pain. They let my leg extend straight out. The clamps are chrome, and total cost was about $30. They work great.

Hey Phoenix;
I am glad to see you have found a cure for your thigh and shin pain, but I could only see this being mounted on a '60's mini bike kit that could be purchased from the last page of a comic book, not a BMW!

I just stretch my legs and lay them on top of the jugs The leather of my gear isn't impressed by a little heat, and neither are my legs because there is a big chunk of cow hide in between.

EDIT: LOL at bikerfish

These pegs are for long trips and can be removed in five minutes or less. Persist pain can force you to make compromises. The sciatica keeps me from being able to get my right leg on top of the cylinder. Speaking of old minibikes, Drop's observation makes me think of my '63 BSA Gold Star Clubman, and my 1969 BSA Lightning. Wish I still had them, along with my 1970 Rocket 3.

Now we know where you found the pegs.......aren't they the passenger pegs that came on some of those bikes??

Glad to hear you have found a solution to your problem. Who cares how it looks if it lets you ride.

Cheers

Drop: they're probably identical, except back then they were made in England and now they come from China or Kuala Lumpur.

That actually makes my hip lock up. Then I have to stand on the pegs to free it. Still thinking about that lowering kit however.
