Adios Amigos
toodle loo caribou, and bye bye.
Sold My R1100S today. I have made some good friends in the time I was here. Like most hobbies, I lose interest after awhile, and move on to other things. Not sure if i will replace it or not, but it was setting in the garage collecting dust. i didn't realize how good it looked or how wonderful the exhaust note was till I saw the new owner riding it. ![]() Ducati's look nice, who knows, i may buy one.. right now though i think I might buy a sawmill and cut my own lumber for wood working projects. Not sure how much I will be hanging around here anymore. Many of you have my phone number and know where I live, and work. Glad to help just contact me if you need anything. I'll try not to let the door hit me in the ass on my way out.

Say it isn't so. I will miss your face here but I hope you will still be going to TOR. Still waiting for you to post that video from last year as we started up Kebler Pass.
After a long and enjoyable affair with my S it only saw a couple thousand miles in the last year and a half. At this point it is worth more as garage art than selling it, as Nail found out with his. You know you don't need an S to hang around here. Wish it was a shorter trip to stop by and say "Hi". ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Hey, Bill. Look in now and then. You have a lot of friends here, most of whom won't hold it against you if you don't have a BMW anymore. I will, of course...

The forum really has evolved into a bunch of friends, some we have meet, some we only know through cyber space, but consider friends just the same. I hope to ride with you again some day, and hope you stick your head in the door now and again to say hello. Now many of us ride Multi/G-S's maybe we can coax you to the pelican version of the GMR, just promise to leave the rain home ![]() P.S. let me know if you need any Black Walnut, Cherry, ash, red and white oak, got t least a 1000 bf in the top of the barn, some 3" thick.

Ha!
Really sorry to see you go Bill. Although, as others have said, you really don't have to check out... Just check in occasionally! One day you are just looking at the bike, and you realize your attentions have shifted to something else, and you also realize you haven't been on it for over a year... or longer..

Arrivederci
Well, well, well, I've watched all sorts of people come & go here, myself included when I sold my S and yet, here I am. I couldn't help but notice that we joined this board at about the same time, which was a long time ago! I rode my S for 9 years and put about 80K on the clock. Perhaps like me and others you'll hang from time to time (I can't believe you'll quit completely before making 10K posts
) . I've enjoyed meeting you in person and also enjoyed our off-topic discussions. As for making your own lumber, I started doing that about 6 years ago. I took the poor man's route and bought a chain-saw mill (Portable sawmills, chainsaw sawmill and mobile wood mill at Logosol!). These things really work. In any case, ride safely and I hope to see you on the road again. Ciao, -Craig

Bill, it has been great to have you part of this forum and have the feeling you won't "really" be leaving.
Best of luck... Brock

Bill,
I've been gone for a while, sold the BCR last Sept, but still come here to check in. I would have to say that this site added a great amount of knowledge and enjoyment to my BMW experience. THere are a lot of like minded gear heads here that have helped and encouraged me along the way. You number at the top of that list and I thank you for that. I have your number and I know were you live ![]() Don't be a stranger because you will be missed. ![]() Philip |

It seems so final to announce your departure!
I agree this seems more like a forum of guys with similar interests than ownership of a motorcycle brand. I don't spend as much time here, I don't have any projects on the horizon other than to dyno the 1258, but I do like to see what's going on. Maybe I will see you on MTBR! Rock on brother, you have been a wellspring of good advice, rational thought and friendship and I have your email addy!
