Really does make you wonder how folks have been fitting the same old Ohlins to the same old 1100s all these years!!!:)

As someone stated, 1/8" further back or down and it does not hit. Mine didn't hit, until the upper bushing got some wear. and then just slightly.

My guess is the top casting is not exclusivly to the BMW shock, but used in a wide range of shock fitment,
