I just don't get buying a bike like this and leaving it to sit. I suppose in about 20-30 years it'll be a great museum piece but I just don't have the scratch to do that.

There's shipping options.
The ad says contact the seller for shipping...

I should have been more specific with my question. Has anyone here imported a bike from Canada and successfully registered it for road use in the USA? Any information on brokers used or shipping companies would be great thanks.

Oh, I was referring to buying it new then leaving it to sit.
$12k is a great price for that bike.

No, you asked a reasonable question. Don't know why he feels the need to make dick'ish comment. I wish I could help....but have never imported a bike. Now get off my lawn and don't come back here again. Lol

I am not aware of any differences between the ones that went to Canada and the ones that came here. All were generally ID'ed as being for the North American Continent and if there were differences between the ones that made it here to America and the ones that went to our colder brothers up north.............I never saw, or heard of them. So I think that you could buy this bike and still get it legally on the road here in the states. Life is brief, death is sure......get the bike........"After all, its merely money........."

PS: LANE, really now, YOU should get one of these as you have seen them run and liked them when you did or so I recall. Regards......

Speedometer will read in Kilometres per hour. Might be possible to have it reprogrammed, I am not sure about that one. There may be some minor differences on reflectors and other nit picks. Given the nanny state here likely more than required in the US.

Yes I remember. That was a great trip. We came out of a corner going up the long hill and all I remember is your back tire getting smaller.....fast. Lol. Hope you are doing well....we need to ride again. My wife would kick my butt if I get another bike...I'm at 8 now. Hoping to sell one probably the triumph and get a very light adventure bike. Take care!

With the US dollar the way it is against the Loonie, you guys are nuts to pass this deal up. IF you can import the bike.

I think the Canadian versions did not get the evap canister, but I'm sure there are plenty of those lying around to get the bike back to spec.

Here's a thought for some of you..........buy the bike.......ship it to my nice warm shop...........do a fly and ride when the weather gets better.

Oh yeah............bring beer!

Cheers
