The Z4 M Coupe - now's the time!
Well, I bought a black/black/carbon M Coupe this week. BMW is giving dealers $7500 cash back on unsold 2007s, and most of them are selling the cars at invoice minus cash back or less, meaning people are snagging M Coupes in the low $40s. Mine was in North Carolina, so I went through most of the break-in period driving it back to Chicago; even keeping the revs under 5500 the entire way, it was a phenomenal trip. If snow doesn't fly this weekend, I'll take some nice pics and post.

Here's a pic I took today, the only half-way decent one I managed and that took some tweaking. I've got to get a decent camera one of these days.

Actually I agree - my old '83 944 was my favorite Porsche, and the Z4 reminds me of it sometimes with it's inline engine note and revvy nature, though it's not as well balanced. Here's a picture of it after a few mods:

I agree low $40s is bargain for an '07.
Is the '08 different in any way?? They're going for mid $40s on carsdirect.com

For '08 they added HD radio, but that's about it. Mine has the Aero Kit sideskirts, CSL wheels (not sold in the US - shipped them from the UK) and a 3.91 rear diff, instead of the 3.62 stock one. The gearing is why the Z4M's performance was still on par with the 2006-2008 Cayman S rather than the base 997, as it should be with 330hp. With almost identical gearing and power figures as the pre-2009 997, the Z4M is even more of a perfomance bargain than before.

Thanks. How did you find an '07? Did you have to contact each dealer to ask?

Check when the thread started - I bought mine in December 2007, when dealer's were clearing them out at $10k off or more.
