unable to remove key from ingition

Hello, I have a 2005 987 Boxster Auto/Tip I am not able to remove my key from the ignition unless I use the OE pin found in the fuse box every time I turn the car off,
I am getting a message saying (move selector lever to P) however the car is in park and the indicator on the dash shown its in park.
I have had the battery checked and it's ok, I have also replaced the ignition switch/module and that didn't fix it either.
can someone please help.

The Tip shifter uses a magnet to sense the position of the shifter, which tends to fall off, causing this exact issue.
