Check side marker bulb reset?

I changed my side marker bulb and front running light bulb and it keeps showing to check bulbs. Do I have to go to a shop to have it reset or can I do it myself?
I also bought a icarsoft diagnostic tool cr pro.
Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

2 questions, sorry if the first seems obvious. Do the bulbs actually work? Are the replacement bulbs the correct bulb for that location, specifically the wattage?

The bulbs were led lights and I couldn't find the replacement leds so I bought some that looked the same but per the site said used for interior or license plate lights. Also bought some from autozone and still did the same as far as the alert saying to check the side marker and front running light.
The lights are on, so that's why it's confusing to me. Do I need to reset it somehow. I know with my BMW I have to reset it but have to go to a mechanic to do this.

Your problem is that not all LED's are the same. Most LED bulbs have very low internal resistance, hence their lower power usage. But that fact is a double-edged sword as the bulb warning system sees that low resistance as a burnt-out bulb. This is why replacing turn signal bulbs with LEDs results in "hyper flashing" dash turn indicators, the factory indication of a burnt out turn signal. And while the turn signal flashing can be corrected by using a flasher can designed for use with LEDs, the other bulbs will throw warnings unless you either add a resistor to the circuits, or use a bulb with it built in.

JFP in PA more or less nailed it. I don’t believe that Porsche build your car with LED bulbs in it - the factory lamps are almost certainly incandescents. The bulb monitor is expecting a filament, which is essentially a short circuit, electrically (LEDs are high impedance). Get rid of the LEDs.

I thought impedance was only found in AC circuits......................

You are correct. Resistance would be a more accurate term.

This is what happens when you try to use LED where incadesent bulbs were specified... You gain nothing with the LED except the headaches....

What sort of upgrade were you expecting on these bulbs?
