Another VarioCam question

Hello to everyone!
I have a 1999 Boxster 2.5 manual. Slightly over 140,000 km on the clock. Second owner for the past almost 15 years. Well take care of car. yearly or 5,000 km oil changes whichever comes first.

The car sat for a couple of months without really being driven but has been meticuoulsy started and ran for about 10-15 minutes every four weeks.

The engine light has appeared since the car has been activated and Durametric says the following. I have tried clearing the codes but they come back either after a couple of kilometers or a couple of minutes. It sometimes, and only sometimes, runs rough. Anything above 1,800-2,000 rpm is fine. I have not pushed it past 4500 rpm. If the codes are cleared and the car is driven solely on a highway without dropping rpms below 2,000 the light often stays off. Trying to activate the solenoid for Bank 1-3 doesn't seem to do anything.




Rails? Solenoid maybe?

Any and all ideas and suggestion are welcome.

P1531 indicates the Bank 1 actuator is not operating:

- open circuit on triggering wire
-open circuit in B+ supply wire
-faulty actuator
