one more thing....the ignition switch on my 98 boxster needs replaced. my ignition switch is doing what the 97 ignition switch recall did. i need instructions on "how to" take apart and reassemble. can anyone direct me to a site with directions...perhaps with pics. thanks!

It is easy,
Push the seat back as far as it will go. Remove the air duct at the bottom of the dash (It pops out) You will see a lare, purple, octagonal electrical plug. Disconnect it. That is the electrical portion of the ignition switch. It is held in by two screws. THe screws may be covered with sealant; just scrape it off. Once the two screws are loose, the ignition switch just pops off. Installation is the reverse of removal. AFJ

once again, thanks! that too is ordered. tried to get the dealership to replace it for free but no luck there. oh well.....
