DTC Codes In the Workshop Manual.....??
Just wondering....I have a DTC code that my OBD II reader has spit out (P0453)....however when I go into the diagnosis section of the work manual the DTC's all have numbers such as 34, 35, 36, etc etc etc.... Does anyone know how I get from my P0453 to the proper code in the manual??
Thanks. Jeff. |

What year is your boxster. There are seperate DTC code books depending on the model year and motronic version coding.
P0453 is a tank (fuel) pressure sensor above limit. Fault area is listed as "Short circuit to B+" Says to check wiring from pressure sensor to the DME control module for short to B+ If it is not OK, then repair harness.

Hi, thanks for the reply :
![]() My boxster is a 2001 Boxster. What Im wondering is where this fuel pressure sensor is located as I would like to diagnose and fix this problem myself. Im thinking that maybe its just a bad sensor or simply a short in the wiring as you say. Is the sensor in the tank itself on my particular car or can it be found outside of the tank??? Thanks Jeff. |
