Engine Codes!!!!

I recently got a check engine light and pulled up several codes (1123 and 1125) on my '98 Boxster. Bought an oxygen sensor and replaced the right side exhaust bank sensor (as the codes indicated). No change. Codes reappeared in a week or so.

Any ideas? I don't really want to start indiscriminately start changing O2 sensors at $120 a pop.

Thanks in advance!!

Just because you have a check engine light, it does not mean that an O2 sensor is the only problem.

1123 and 1125 indicate you have a lean condition. Look for vacuum leaks. The OBD system on a boxster is VERY specific. If you have a bad O2 sensor, it will specifically tell you which one is in fact bad.

Auto zone can read out the codes. You can post them here.

Sorry, Please post your location.

If you are in the states, and local auto parts store usually provides a diagnostic service. They will read the error codes from the car - get the error number and post them here. I, amongst others, have lists of the codes and what they mean, and more importantly, how to correct the problem.

Excellent, I am in Vermont, USA, should I just bring it to the dealership and find out, and about how much will it cost?

AFJuvat-you were correct. I eventually ended up with a 1123, 1125, 1128, and 1130 codes. Went to a proprietary pay diagnostic site (available to shops) and found that there was a bulletin concerning these specific codes. They indicate a lean condition created by a leak in the oil filler hose between the crankcase and the service unit. This leak causes air to be sucked into the crankcase causing the lean condition. Thirty-eight bucks for the part, several hours of labor, presto!

Now I need to figure out what's wrong with my driver's side window......
