Unhappy Noise

I have had a disturbing noise coming from my driver's side rear (wheel area) which I take to be tire noise. It is almost a shrieking noise which starts at about 25 mph and is very noticable when in traffic and noise is reflected back to me. No noise at idle or when engine revved or when under 25mph.

I saw answer re: idler pulley. My car is an '04 Boxster with 7,000 miles. Could it be an idler pulley?

Thanks

It is a possibility. It takes about 30 minutes to check. Another possibility is a wheel bearing.
