Storing Convertible Top
After paying a pretty penny to get my old convertible top replaced with a new German Canvas rear glass window top I am ready to store it for the summer.
It has finally gotten HOT here in Southern California and because my hard top keeps the car so much quieter and COOLER I'm ready to put it back on. QUESTION: What is the best way to stow the soft top? Obviously creases in the plastic window are not an issue, but do you guys do anything special for long term (4-6 month) storage? Thanks

sadly, the best way to "store" the top is in the up position, since it keeps tension on the material to keep it snug.
It seems ironic to want the hardtop for the summer (hot) weather, as it will limit you from dropping the top as its often cooler in the morning and evening. That said, "storage" would be the same as in the winter for those who run the hardtop. Make sure the top is clean and dry, that the window is clean and lower it. you might also double check the owners manual for "top maintenance" guidance as well.

I wear suits/uniform to work and the 90+ degree weather in Southern California makes me sweat even with the top down. I prefer the 70 degree weather in the spring and fall for top down driving. The hard top keeps the car cooler in obnoxiously hot weather.
The dealer told me to put the top up for a few days every couple of months to keep the top "fresh"
