O2 sensor Qs with 3.2L motor swap

I just had a local shop install a 3.2L motor into my 2.5L 2001 Boxster. They can't seem to find the pre-cat o2 sensor plugs in the new wiring harness. Is something missing on my 3.2L motor or do they not have 4 O2 sensors?

Sounds like you are installing a ROW nonUSA engine/wiring harness in a USA car with original 2001 2.7L engine. ROW cars only have 2 O2 sensors located inches from the muffler

That's exactly what I'm doing but I didn't know there would be a difference. Any suggestions on how to overcome this? I'm taking it to the dealership tomorrow to get the DME flashed for the 3.2L and I don't want to get bad advice from them.

Where are you located? Your original wire harness should work. Did your car have the original engine before?

I'm in Richmond, VA. Yes the car originally had the 4 o2 sensor setup on a 2.5L motor. I bought a JDM 3.2L motor to swap in. What do I need to scavange off the2.5L to make this work?

I assume the ROW engine & wire harness is in the car & running & doesn't have secondary air injection either so you just need the DME reflashed for ROW 3.2 I would call around for a quote before taking your car.

that's good news, unfortunately it already went to the dealer but they seem interested in solving this problem. I'll see if they can flash ROW 3.2 Can you believe they only charge $120 for a reflash? I was expecting the "dealer" price of much more than that.

Dealership called and they claimed they can't flash ROW engine program without changing all electronics to some other country. Seems kinda strange but I guess it makes sense. Does that mean the nav system would have a british accent or maybe I'd have to pay tax in sweden? They think they can "figure something out" and they sound legitimately interested. Thoughts on other ways to solve this problem? I wonder if the US flash would work and just maybe throw a check engine light (I'm good at ignoring those).

Dealership, as usual doesn't know what they are talking about. There are tons of cars running around with ROW flashes. The DME coding has no bearing on the coding of the other components.
