My passenger window barely goes down when you open the door. The Porsche dealer said that the window regulator needs to be replaced and muttered something about a spring in it failing. The window goes up and down fine and goes down when the handle is pulled for the power top. It just doesn't work properly when the door is opened. Has anyone seen this problem? Can it be fixed instead of replacing the unit (the dealer wanted $550 to fix). Where can I find a new regulator other than the dealership?

You could special order one thru us, but then you'd have to write a tech article on the replacement!
No seriously, if you want to do this project and take some pics, then I'll get you a better price than the dealer on the regulator. It's probably still not going to be a cheap part though... -Wayne
