When you replace the AOS, do you recommend replacing the o ring on the bottom right angled connection into the right side of the engine? part number 996 107 122 00.

Also, I changed my AOS a few months ago, but i am again getting smoke on start up. I disconnected the line from the AOS to the intake & found oil. Could the new AOS be faulty, have there been a bad batch or is it some other problem in my car?

Sure, it's a smart idea to replace the o-rings on all of the connections that you've disturbed. If there is a big vacuum pull from your engine, it will cause air oil separator units to fail prematurely. Too much vacuum can be caused by a broken / stuck crankcase ventilation valve. I would check that it's not pulling too much vacuum on your engine.
