Can not get the ABS censor out!

I have a faulty ABS censor at the left side rear (according to the Durametric tool).

The censor is rusted in and I can not get it out. In trying to get it free it has snapped and the bottom part of the censor is stuck and sitting flush. Anyone have any good ideas on how to get this ting out? Or do I have to pull the rear assembly apart so that I can drill the remaining damaged censor out?

Yikes! First I thought of drilling the sensor and screwing a sheet metal screw deep enough to grab it with plyers and pull. Additionally, you could remove the rear half shaft and tap it with a drift from underneath, but your angles might be difficult with the knuckle in the car. Is it solid metal or plastic with metal coil? I've never romped one in half before.

Furthermore, it looks very dry in your pics...try some penetrating solution on it and tap it lightly to try and break it loose.

Yup, I would just take a drill or an easy-out to this thing. It's not tapped in there, so an easy out should get it to come out relatively quickly. A broken bolt would be a bear, but this looks pretty easy on the grand scale...

If the censor was in there so tight (with what I will assume is corrosion) that it snapped rather than come out, do you think a easy-out will really do it Wayne? Would be good if it works - I will give it a go, but be prepared to have to drill it out completely...

Now onto the next project - replacing the damaged fuel tank (if I can figure out how to best get the damaged one out from the car )

Nope, that was not me Wayne.

My tank got damaged during this years racing season, but I did not see it until I put the car up on the lift at the end of the season. I had repeated issues with the fuel system threw the year and could not track it down. Now I know it was related to the breather system, as the tank has imploded on itself.

I will try first to see if I can force the bottom of the tank back down again and into it's original shape. But if that fails, then I have a replacement tank I need to put in the car.
