Potentially dumb sound system question...
Ok, I need some some pointers. I'm about to rip the Porsche / Bose sound system out of my '08 Boxster S and beat it to death with a hammer.
Is there ANY way to display the FM frequency rather than the station's text broadcasts? Some way to see "97.3" instead of "Bob's Radio Show" or whatever? This weekend, I couldn't find my favorite stations, as I didn't know the name of whatever radio show was playing! I have scoured the manuals for the car and the sound system (CDR24 or something, as I recall - I'm at work and can't remember) and can't find anything about how to display the actual frequencies. My other vehicles, one with an Alpine unit, can switch between text and frequency. Can someone keep me from going crazy? If so, thanks....

This may not be exactly what you want, but there is a "Man" button to the right of the CD player. If you press it, you can manually tune the stations.

Yeah, that allows you to tune if you're quick, and then it zips right back to displaying text.
Doesn't this bother anyone else? Seems like it would... but I'm kind of old fashioned about stuff like this....

It does not change if you hold it long enough to see "man" on the radio. At least not for me...
