TPMS sensor life or replace while I'm in there

So as I get ready to put new wheels on the Cayman I am wondering if I should replace the TPMS sensors while the tires are swapped over to the new wheels. My car is an 06 so they are 7 years old, I'm not sure how long the batteries last for.

What say ye, and what are the best ones to get?

Thanks

Bob James

Ye just replaced all 4 on an '07. My searches pointed to 5-6 years life. I went to OEWheels.com for the best deal I could find. C.

Replace them. Realistically, life span is going to be in the 4-6 year range at best based upon what we have seen; and considering the cost to go back in and change them before the tires die, you are saving money in the long run.

Agreed, thanks guys, and thanks for the pointer to OE Wheels, that is the best price I've found.

what's the best source for the sensors (they seem to be a bit on the expensive side)?
