i have a 2001 boxster s, when engine starts and warms up i get a knocking sound from engnie only on idle-tick over, when cold or running at speed there is no knocking

Where is the knocking noise coming from. The Cylinder head? the block? I opened a post in our forums. A Pelican community member may be able to answer your question.
