The drivers side window intermittently doe not lower when activating the door handle, other times works correctly. The motor seems to be working properly and also the window switches. The window makes no noise or ir-regulator movement. 2003 Boxster. Any suggestions?

This could be door handle microswitch. If this is when opening from the inside, it could be in the inside switch, from the outside, the outside door handle switch.

Nick - I am having the same issue (more or less). Which switches are you referring to? Are these the switches that are part of the door lock mechanism? Or part of the handle? Do you sell them for the handle? Please show on the parts diagram, as I may need to order them too.

The inside handle microswitch is part of the door lock. IIRC correctly, the outside door handle microswitch is also part of the door lock.

ok, but then what do the microswitches control that are on the inside part of the handle itself?

My recollection might be wrong with respect to the outside handle. There seems to be a separate microswitch in the parts diagram for the outside handle and how it affects the window. I can't say for sure because I've never taken the door apart.

Outside handle has a independent replaceable micro switch with a pig tail.
