1999 Boxster Rough Idle / stalls ( see video)

I just bought the car which was sitting in the garage for over a year maybe more 121k miles. The problem:
It starts hard and drops RPM / stalls also doesnt rev more then 3k need to keep the pedal pressed to run.
CEL is on

see video ( sorry its upside down)

The previous owner claims to have changed
spark plugs
ignition coils
air oil separator
cleaned fuel injectors
new battery

I ran a diagnostics using Porsche scanner it says

1) Camshaft position sensor 2
2) Mass air flow sensor
3) Misfire on Cylinder 4,5,6

where do I start? COILS / SPARK PLUGS?

thanks

If it isn't some kind of catastrophic issue I would start out with a smoke test and look for vacuum leaks.

I was suggesting a smoke test because I tend to think you have a leak someplace.
Without a smoke machine you can try and visually look for leaks. Based on the way yours is running either you have a really big leak or something else really wrong. One time I took a plastic slurpee cup and cut it so I could duct tape my shop vac hose to it and then I connected it to the intake where the MAF would connect. I then could listen for leaks.
You could also have a camshaft sensor problem too.
I am by far not a 986 expert though. Most of my car repairing exp is on BMW.

Vacuum leak or possible failing crank position sensor.

After I changed my CPS I had misfire codes like crazy and once I ran it for a bit they cleared once the computer saw where the crank was at.

OK I changed the Camshaft with a after market camshaft of ebay - it looked different i still tried it out - it started a little better then before but still camshaft error code

when I unplugged the Camshaft sensor altogether it wouldnt even start
also the swish / screeching sound is the pulley
I ordered the OEM camshaft to make 100% sure.

Now, lets say the new sensor is OK and i still get the Camshaft error code same bank what would that mean?

and I dont have a Vacuum leak
thanks

If you don't have a vac leak, you need to do a compression test on each cylinder as your next step.

so regardless of the misfire I still do a compression test? if the compression comes out bad that side is messed up right?

Whats the reading for a cold engine compression.

I had an engine that had a bad intake valve seat which resulted in 0 PSI on one cyl.
This also messed up the vacuum too since the thing was pushing air back to the intake.
Like you I was chasing all sorts of problems, but once I ran the compression test and found the dead cyl I finally found the problem.

Run your test and see what you come up with. You want to see at least 150 psi (don't quote me on that number. I am guessing based on other engines)
