Locked Out! Help!
After recently installing an LED DRL with an automatic relay switch, I closed my car up and locked it using the remote FOB. At that time, my LEDs flashed twice but I got two horn beeps which I though meant an open compartment. I tried to open the door but the doors won't open. I hit the FOB to unlock and got the same double beep but nothing happens. No interior lights either. I tried to use the key to unlock the door but nothing happens. The cylinder rotates but the doors don't unlock. Even holding the key in the rotated position doesn't roll down the windows.
The only thing that I can do, is remote open the rear trunk. My assumption was that the relay had created a short and drained my battery in less than 30 minutes. However today is the 3rd day and the behavior is the same. The battery hasn't drained completely as I had expected it to by now.
I discovered today that the rear trunk will open with the FOB. I have installed an amplifier in the rear and I was able to get a multi-tester to the leads and confirm that the battery is in fact fully charged.
Does anyone have any idea what could be happening or any suggestions.
FYI, I had recently replaced the drivers side lock so I don't believe that is the problem.
Thanks in advance.
