986 alarm brain bypass. Is it possible?

I think I'm having issue with the alarm brain. Engine won't crank, window won't move. The led light in the middle of windshield stays on, no flashing, just stays on. I got a manual of the car but haven't got chance to work on the car yet. I think the first thing I would check would be the fuse on the alarm brain. I checked online that a used alarm brain can run about 700dollars. Is there any way to bypass it? I did it on my old 944. I know boxster is much newer and has more electronics. But. Is there a way?

Not cheaply or easily, and if there were, no one would post it as it would make the cars easy to steal. You would be better off to fix the problem.

As JFP said, the cars now have multiple computers that talk to each other. Simple things of the past like a key or controller replacement suddenly get much more complicated.
