Understand the immobolizer

Hi guys,

I am trying to have a deeper understanding of the function of immobolizer here.

1. So it receive the signal from remote, correct?
2. The relays are the only contacts for controlling window, trunk latches and door locks, correct? That's why when immobolizer is bad, you can't control them...
3. I heard some company can do immobolizer removal. I understand after you will not be able to use your remote after removal, but how are you going to control your windows and trunk latches without the relays in the immobolizer? They have to put on a replacement circuit board with relays?
