Help with IPD / codes / smog please
Hello .
2006 Cayman S, K&N, Aftermarket exhaust... Installed a IPD plenum and 82mm TB. I was throwing a P1095 code so purchased a MAF. Still toss the code every now and then. Check / rechecked install and am confident with the install. So I clear it using my Scangauge. Today went to smog it and no code but the other sensors came up "Not ready" So need to drive work through the drive cycle. If I do that the code most probably will come back and and I now can't clear it or same issue and I cant just leave it ??? My first thought is that I have a bad MAF Second thought is to just, reinstall all stock TB and Plenum and leave it if this is going to continue .. Any thoughts ?

only code is the P1095
I did discover that the Scangauge will test and let me know if the vehicle is "ready" this will be useful no matter what I need to do.

P1095 Mass air flow ahead of throttle valve implausible (too high).
It sounds like your throttle body and plenum are flowing more air than the DME expects to see and it is coding accordingly.

^^^ yes exactly . but is there a reset / fix / ?
All the IPD mod folks seem to have the system "learn it" .

This info from IPD website ..
The 2 most common reasons for IPD Plenums not delivering the performance gains claimed by IPD are; incorrect installation and / or a faulty MAF sensor. Hot wire mass air flow sensors degrade over time. After thousands of heat cycles on the precious metal element you may suffer loss of resolution at the extremes of measurement (ie peak power). Although the sensor may not be so far out of range to cause a check engine light, we have seen cases where the performance improvements are not fully realized. Do I need to make any changes to my ECU/DME after installing the Plenum? The short answer is NO. The factory ECU/DME will make all the necessary "adaptive changes" to accommodate the additional air flow provided by the IPD Plenum. A mass air system constantly adapts for changes in the inlet tract. Only in very high power turbo systems are the limits of the stock mass air meter exceeded and provisions need to be made, but short of that the plenum will not cause any calibration issues.
