Cayenne COP trigger voltage?

Hi Guys,

I'm at the end of connecting my DTA S80 ecu up to my 3.0 SC engine and I have hit a problem. I decided to use Cayenne Beru COP with internal ignitors for my ignition. I have the pinout as following

pin1 Ground ECU
Pin2 Ground engine (spark)
Pin3 12 volts
Pin 4 trigger

My ECU coil output wire is at 0v in the off position and 12v to fire the coil. This doesn't seem to work for the Beru coil. I've read that it should be a 5v trigger signal.

Have any of you fitted aftermarket ECUs and come across this problem before?

Any help would be appreciated.
