Dreaded P0453 Code

My first post. I have read numerous posts with regrads to my issue and I can't find too much help so I will post mine. I have a 99 Boxster that I purchased and soon after it was found that previous owner puller the engine light bulb out to cover the issue. Once the bulb was replaced I got a code P0453 (b+). A new fuel pressure sensor was purchased hoping it would fix it. Light was still on. Upon checking wires at the DME we found no connections from the sensor running into the DME. Just fixed that ensuring 5v on red/violet and blue/violet wires to the sensor. Drove the car and light came on. Checked code again and I got same code P0453 but with a different reason,( evap emmision pressure sensor / switch high input. Any help would be appreciated as right now this car is a 2000 lb weight although the car seems to run great.:
