2007 Cayman, can ODB2 read overrev from the DME?

Can i read out the DME with a standard ODB2?
Have a cable that worked on an E46 BMW and basic ODB2 read software.

Would that work?

The Cayman should be OBDII. Is it just a generic scan tool? If it's not P car specific it might not read codes correctly or be able to pick up all codes in all modules. Doesn't hurt to try it out. Otherwise, we have P car scanners here: 2007 Porsche Cayman Base Hatchback - Tools - Page 8.

No, you need a Porsche specific diagnostic tool to see it.

to bad, going to inspect a car to buy it, and it would have been interesting thing to look at.
