A/C Compressor when accelerating hard

I recently purchased a 2001 Boxster S with a Tiptronic. The owner's manual says the Air Conditioning "Can switch off briefly if engine is under an extreme load...."

Is leaving the A/C on when flooring the car bad for it? My Tiptronic is running up to redline before upshifting, which is fine, but should I be turning off the compressor before doing this, or is the car built for handling this with a cut-off system or a compressor that can handle the high rpm's?

Thanks for any ideas.
