VIN decoder lists vehicle as ROW ???
I ran 2 vin decoders on my '07 Cayman S and both make mention of the car as RoW spec. (Rest oF World)
I know what that refers to in older models but not the 987. This is a car originally sold in the US, I have the window sticker. Is there actually such a thing as a ROW 987 ? I did some research and have found clues that because it is a PASM equipped car that this shows up as a RoW spec. Is that correct, If so are there other differences ? I had a potential buy for the car but now they are concerned with this. Maybe concerned with Smog (although the window sticker says US ) or perhaps "Safety' equipment / specs. Any help or insight would be very much appreciated. ![]() 13th digit = "8" = RoW ![]()

I think I would go with the Porsche Katalog information. It show the digit 8 before production number as North American version, not ROW. Page 398

Have you had it smog checked in California? If it smogs, the question is answered and problem is solved!
