FS - running 2.0 engine from a '69
***SOLD PENDING FUNDS***probably only feasable to sell/ship in western canada, but will entertain any thoughts. probably $200-$300 by 'same day right-o-way'. came with a rusted '69 I bought. currently in my '73. runs great, no smoke, 160 psi +/- 4 psi across the cylinders. leakdown less than 5% across the board. has decent webers, very slight shaft play but engine runs beautifully. 'E' distributor, pertronix, stock air cleaner, 11-blade fan, (no exhaust included). can be seen/heard running in my '73 for the next week or so. then I'll be pulling it to put the 2.7 back in for the new owner.
it's a torquey if not exactly mind-blowing engine. I figure carbs and accessories, ducts, distributor, fan assembly, etc. are probably worth $1700 US. which leaves me with a fairly useless longblock. also, I'm very lazy and would rather sell it all together. a nice little motor that you could use to get around for awhile, then part off for what you paid for it. if interested, contact me and we'll talk. possible to get it to vancouver within a month or so when I take the '73 down. thanks, Don. sound clip of it running. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FXpSCJmkzZE ![]() Last edited by haycait911; 11-03-2008 at 10:38 PM.. |
