Replacing the 'Leatherette" seats
We got a 2012 Cooper S Cabrio last month, its a blast but one major failing is the leatherette" seats, at least for down here in Texas they are terrible due to lack of breath ability, especially in the 200% humidity we get in the summer here
![]() Has anyone any ideas for replacements?

I have the cloth seats in mine; they are pretty decent. There were a couple of seat options with partial leather and partial cloth; I remember ones with red leather or toffee-colored leather wear parts on a mostly-cloth seat.
I think that I remember something about needing to have the software in the car poked at (possibly by the dealer) so that the airbags in the seats work, and the car knows they are there and working. I wouldn't go with aftermarket seats due to the lack of airbags, which are part of the whole safety system in the car. Unless it's a track car, in which case a racing shell is what you want. --DD
