I followed Pelican instructions and had a heck of a time twisting and getting enough room to get the tranny out because of the frame where the crush tube attaches got in the way and the shift lever with the big nob on the end would hit the frame. I did not unbolt the year bottom engine mount on the back of the engine. I don't think I can jack it straight up and back on aligning everything. First serious mini job last one was a wheel bearing.

Is there a "service position" for the front end? I know there is on the R56 models (07-13), where you wind up (I think) pulling the front end further forward to make room for working on the drivetrain.
