How much does it cost to replace a power steering pump in South Africa? Is it safe to drive the car? My steering wheel was stiff last week left it and only drove it today and it was working fine. Can this cause further damage to the car?

Not sure, I would call around to a few shops for an estimate. I would not drive the vehicle if the steering is stiff.
