Hello, I discovered that my coolant hose was hanging from my 2007 mini cooper S and all the coolant drained out, so I temporarily clamped to stay together. It stop draining but then my car began to over heat and the guage raised to 120 , would it be the Thermostat that needs to be changed?

Is the coolant level OK? COuld be the thermostat or a bad head gasket if you overheated the engine.
