Question on Fuel Pump and Filter Replacement

Hi , my 2004 mini basic started making a weird clicking sound when driving , it stops when i press on the clutch and starts the sound again when the clutch ism let go, the frequency of the clicking speeds up when i accelerate, any ideas?

Sounds like a problem with the input shaft of the transmission, sad to say. At least, that's what it was on my old Honda.
