I am rebuilding the motor on an R53 I bought for $500.00. As I was removing the transmission from the long block my "helper" pulled the torque converter out and drained the fluid from it. Should I refill the torque converter with new fluid and put it back or put it back and then refill the the tranny after everything is put back in the car? How do I know if I have a CVT tranny?

REfill it before installing it to the trans.

Cvt?

Thanks for your response Nick. How much do I fill the torque converter? How can I tell if I have a CVT Tranny?
