I noticed in a previous comment the question about the Valeo SMF alignment. I installed the same conversion kit and the flywheel has no alignment mark however, it will only fit ONE way. Once the holes are lined up, then it is correct.

Also, I have a question. Should there be a slight bit of lateral play in the release bearing fork lever prior to re-installing the slave cylinder? I am 99.9% sure that I installed the transmission correctly but because this is my first and hopefully last clutch job on this car I'm a bit paranoid.

Lastly, I believe I blew the seal on my slave cylinder because I didn't compress it when I removed it. I also pushed the clutch pedal in out of habit when I was testing that the shift cables were hooked back up properly. I'm still able to drive the car but there is no pressure on the clutch pedal until about 3-5 in from the floor board. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You may be able to reassemble the slave cylinder, I have in the past.

A small amount of clutch fork play is normal. I se that on most makes.
