2002 mini, recently had water pump replaced after car over heated. Had oil changed at the same time. Got vehicle back started noticing coolant level drop in expansion tank. Refilled tank several times, almost a gallon. Took back to mechanic. System held pressure during test. Coolant loss from expansion tank after car is run and then shut off. Also heat works while driving, cools when at stop. Heater core hot on intake only slightly warm when leaving core. No leaks on driveway. No smoke from exhaust. Oil looks good. Any idea where the coolant is going?

It's either burning off before it hits the ground or being burned internally. I would have a pressure test performed again.
