Hi my mini come up with vanos position out nominal, it will idle ok for a couple of mins then it will start almost like a misfire then when i rev it has a high induction sound. Solenoids or timing? thanks

What year and model MINI do you have? You said it came up with something, does that mean you pulled a specific fault code from the system? What P code was it? It could be a few things. There is a HPFP issue for the R56 N14 engines that have a cold start issue. You could also have an issue with spark plugs/coils or have a carbon issue. How many miles are on your MINI and when was the last time you did a carbon clean up? A fault code will help us further diagnose your issue before just throwing parts at it.
