Hi...I'm owner of a Mini R56.
Sometimes the Vaccum hose that is located in the corner behind of the valve cover has oil, and then the oil goes to the throttle body and then after some minutes the oil goes to the exhaust. By the other side, the hose that goes to the Air filter and Turbo charger has oil too. Do I need to replace my valve cover? __________________ This post was auto-generated based upon a question asked on our tech article page here: MINI Cooper R56 Valve Cover Replacement (2007-2011) | Pelican Parts DIY Maintenance Article |

That is typically how we diagnose the faulty boost check valve in the cover. It sounds to me like you need to replace the cover.

Pictures might also help. You might have multiple fault points. Here is info about the vacuum pipe/hose on the top left of the cover that leaks. It's not uncommon for that hose to leak and require a replacement: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/bmw-mini/946244-where-does-vacuum-pipe-go-how-difficult-change.html.
