My wife owns a 2008 Mini-Cooper S we bought new. It came with 2 key FOB remotes the day of purchase. Just last week the key Fob she typically uses started acting up, it would unlock the doors but did not allow her to start the car when inserted into the key FOB slot. When she traded it out for the other key FOB everything worked correctly. Any ideas what is causing this? Her key FOBs are the round sealed type with no battery access. Most likely a faulty remote key / fob. Especially if one works and the other doesn't.
