Ok, but what if you are having the opposite problem - the fan works on low speeds and in conjunction with A/C but "hi" speed never comes on, On recent track day my buddys R53 after lapping was all a buzz on hi speed where mine was just on low speed not normal for my car. any advise. Ps I replaced the bottle with your metal one last week and I love it and no more weeping of antifreeze. THANKS for advise.

Even with symptoms reversed, the resistor can be the cause.
